    Why I built Rich-Be.com

Growing up in a community where many women traditionally didn’t have their own money, I often heard the same sentence from the older women around me:

"Have your money and live how you want to live."

    It stayed with me.

As I got older, I realised how much those words shaped my life. I built my life around being smart with finances. Having my own money gave me choices. I was able to pursue a master's degree, travel the world on my own when that was still unusual in my community, move to another country and build a life that looked very different from the one I grew up seeing around me.

It also meant I never felt that I had to marry because I needed financial security. I was able to take my time, choose my partner and build a relationship because I wanted to, not because I had to.

And that, to me, is what financial independence is really about.

It's not about having a huge bank account or becoming a millionaire. It's about having enough knowledge and control over your money that your choices are actually yours.

That is why I built Rich-Be.com.

I don't believe financial education should be intimidating, complicated or reserved for people who already have money. And I definitely don't believe women need another "I became a millionaire at 26" story telling them what they should be doing.

We need practical, honest financial education that helps us understand our money, make better decisions and build a life with more choices.

Rich-Be.com is my attempt to make that education accessible and affordable, and to create a community where we don't have to figure it all out alone.
